deja vuu

a silent battle

Pink, orange, and yellow, a sunset’s colors inside a building, that’s one of God’s favorite places.

That sunset-like reflection of bright multicolored lights, showed wicked eyes and a grin exposing a soul of evil.

Its rectangle eyes were watching and staring, at a man shouting wisdom of The Word.

Those eyes, that mouth, soon faced me.

Those eyes, that mouth, was a demon who never spoke to anyone inside this place, thankfully.

I asked my mom if she saw these strange lights, and she said yes, as they haunted me.

We prayed for this collection of light reflections, to go away, somehow.

An Angel who was like a cloud above, teleported to the mirror of this spiritual realm, that reflection of a sunset, on the wall.

The Angel immediately watched those lights, that formed a demon, closely.

The Angel’s face was a blank slate to humans, probably showing emotions I can’t comprehend.

The Angel’s wings had three sword blades, attached to both of them, symbolizing The Trinity.

The demon’s eyes and mouth, suddenly melted, but never faded, away.

I think the Angel used mind-control, so it could melt that demon’s face.

Then that Angel, slowly left me.

Deja Vuu is a sophomore in High School. She loves to write novella-like stories and sometimes poetry. She is interested in many different topics, especially Angels and demons. She gets inspired to write when she studies the images formed by clouds and lights. When she is not writing, you will find her running for miles through Florida’s steamy heat and refreshing shade as a part of her Cross Country team.
