Our submission window is open year round and to anyone. Click here to submit. We release one issue every year, in November. Please note that it may take us some time to respond to all submissions. We are open to the experimental, the weird, the traditional, and everything in between. Please see below for our guidelines.

Please note that we are currently a poetry-only publication. While this may change in the future as we expand, we are not currently accepting unsolicited visual art or other forms of writing, and we’re very sorry for any inconvenience that that may cause. All work submitted must be safe for work, including no sexual content and no excessive gore or mentions of gratuitous violence.

LFPM has no length or style requirements, but please keep in mind that we are largely an experimental poetry magazine, and so our tastes often lean towards the weird and unconventional.

No racism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, xenophobia, islamophobia, antisemitism, etc. (bigotry) is allowed. LFPM stands unequivocally in support of a free Palestine and a free Ukraine, and decisions will reflect this. No one is free until we are all free, and no one is free on stolen land. LFPM acknowledges that it is operated on unceded Nipmuc and Karankawa land, and acknowledges the deep and horrific colonial history that it unfortunately benefits from as an arts institution within the United States.

By submitting to LFPM, you agree that LFPM obtains first serial rights. Upon publication, all rights revert back to the poet. We only ask that in any future publications, you acknowledge that the piece was seen here first.

Unfortunately, we cannot currently compensate writers with anything but our eternal love.
